Larchwood Studio

Larchwood Studio is a flexible, bookable venue at Racquety Farm, set among woodland close to the River Wye and within walking distance of Hay-on-Wye. Its peaceful rural setting makes it a distinctive base for organisers planning group activities, workshops, training days, meetings and retreats.

The studio welcomes a broad range of uses, including yoga and meditation, writers' and artists' workshops, theatre, film and dance, forest school, bushcraft, paddlesport and outdoor-industry courses. It can also be hired for corporate retreats and family gatherings. Organisers can enquire about residential, part-day or full-day use, and may be able to arrange access to the farm's woodland and private riverbank for suitable activities.

Facilities include an accessible toilet and shower, parking for up to 20 cars, and a covered outdoor commercial kitchen with food-preparation and washing-up areas, a wood-fired barbecue and pizza oven, and gas burners. A large screen is installed, while a projector and sound system can be arranged for hire. The family-run team can discuss event requirements and possible local activity providers, including canoeing and other outdoor pursuits.

Surrounded by nature and managed with attention to local ecology, Larchwood Studio offers a calm setting for organisers seeking a venue away from busy town-centre spaces. Contact the team to discuss the format, facilities and arrangements for your event.
