The Dempsey Event Center

The Dempsey Event Center is a private event venue in Delaware, Ohio, set within an estate of around 10 acres. Its grounds combine landscaped lawns, wooded areas, a koi pond, a stream and a footbridge, giving organisers a choice of natural backdrops for gatherings and photographs. The property includes a mansion, a separate Sanctuary building and a tented outdoor setting, with spaces suited to different event sizes and styles.

Couples can host wedding ceremonies and receptions indoors or outdoors, with wedding packages offering exclusive use of the estate on the event day. Depending on the space and package, the venue accommodates intimate indoor celebrations and larger outdoor receptions of up to 200 guests. Dressing rooms, tables and chairs, parking and staff support are among the available features. Catering is arranged through preferred local providers, and some packages allow organisers to bring their own food and drinks.

The venue also welcomes corporate meetings, off-site planning sessions and team gatherings. Mansion packages provide meeting rooms, breakout areas, audiovisual equipment and room set-up, with half-day and full-day options. The private-use arrangement means organisers can reserve the property for their own group. The Sanctuary offers another choice for seated or theatre-style sessions, while the outdoor grounds provide room for breaks and informal activities.

Other suitable occasions include banquets, anniversary and holiday parties, family reunions, showers and rehearsal dinners. Organisers can discuss the best space, package and set-up for their event directly with the venue team. With indoor rooms, purpose-built gathering spaces and extensive outdoor grounds in one location, The Dempsey Event Center serves both business and social event planners.
