Rio Plaza

Rio Plaza is a private event venue in downtown San Antonio, set beside the River Walk. Its six distinct spaces offer organisers a choice of settings for weddings, corporate functions and social celebrations, with rooms that can be arranged for different event styles and guest numbers. The venue welcomes gatherings ranging from smaller private occasions to large receptions, and its staff can help with planning and event-day coordination.

The rooms vary in character and layout. Some offer indoor settings with architectural details and river or city views, while others include balconies or outdoor terraces. A larger room can suit a reception, dinner or corporate gathering, while smaller spaces provide a more intimate setting for a meeting, private meal or celebration. Several rooms include features such as a bar, dance area or space for entertainment, and the venue has lift access between floors.

Rio Plaza hosts wedding ceremonies and receptions, as well as engagement celebrations, anniversaries and other milestones. For business organisers, its spaces can be used for meetings, luncheons, networking events, dinners, award ceremonies and holiday parties. The team can assist with room layouts and timelines, and room bookings include event-day support and selected furnishings. Food and drink options are available, with outside catering considered by prior approval. The venue also shares information about preferred suppliers to help organisers plan additional event requirements.

Located within walking distance of downtown hotels and local attractions, Rio Plaza gives organisers a central setting for events where guests can also explore the River Walk. Its combination of private rooms, views, event support and adaptable layouts makes it suitable for both personal celebrations and business occasions.
