Collins Train Depot

Collins Train Depot is a historic venue in Collins, Mississippi, available to hire for private, community and civic gatherings. Its railway heritage gives organisers a distinctive setting for bringing guests together, while the rental arrangement allows events to be held throughout the week. The building can be booked from morning until midnight, with the hire period covering set-up, the event itself and clean-up.

The venue can accommodate up to 100 guests using chairs alone, or up to 75 when tables and chairs are arranged. Couples can enquire about using the depot for a wedding or reception, and it can also suit other private functions and community occasions. Tables and chairs are available for use, with set-up and take-down assistance offered by the City of Collins for an additional charge when requested in advance.

A kitchenette is provided for serving and final food preparation. It is not intended for cooking, although a microwave, coffee makers and supervised food warmers are permitted under the facility rules. Organisers should plan catering accordingly and review the rental agreement before confirming their booking. The agreement also sets out requirements around deposits, event hours, cleaning and possible security or insurance needs. Dancing and DJs are not permitted, so the depot is best suited to gatherings that do not depend on those elements.

Bookings and venue enquiries are handled through Collins City Hall. The depot offers a characterful alternative to a conventional function room for planners looking for a historic local setting in which to host a gathering.
