Kessel Lodge

Kessel Lodge is a city-run venue in Kessel Park, Cresco, Iowa, available for organisers seeking a comfortable place for a family reunion, open house or other small gathering. The lodge can seat up to 60 people indoors, with a further 60 places beneath its outdoor shelter, making it possible to host guests inside and outside the building.

The facility is equipped for practical, self-managed events. It has heating and air conditioning, restrooms, a kitchenette and a serving counter. Kitchen equipment includes a cooker, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, along with a large coffee maker. Located within the park, the lodge offers a relaxed setting for gatherings that benefit from both indoor facilities and access to the outdoors. The city rents the space by the day, with different rates for weekdays and weekends, holidays and public holidays. A refundable deposit is required, and organisers are responsible for cleaning the building and returning the furniture to its usual arrangement after their event. The venue may also be available the evening before a booking for preparation, subject to availability.
