The Priory Barn & Cottages

The Priory Barn & Cottages is an exclusive-use venue in the North Yorkshire countryside, offering a characterful setting for weddings, private celebrations and corporate gatherings. Its restored barn, adjoining marquee and private grounds give organisers a choice of spaces for different parts of an event, while the on-site cottages make it possible for guests or colleagues to stay together.

Weddings can include a civil ceremony in the barn or, weather permitting, outdoors in the grounds. The venue also provides a marquee for wedding breakfasts and evening receptions, with tables, chairs, lighting, a dance floor, stage and sound system included. The team supports couples during the planning process and can help coordinate arrangements with suppliers. Packages cater for both smaller celebrations and larger weddings, with the cottages available to add for overnight stays.

For other private occasions, the barn and marquee can host dinners, drinks receptions, birthdays, anniversaries and family gatherings. The spaces can be arranged for intimate groups or larger parties, and the venue offers assistance with planning and event-day arrangements. Businesses can book the site for meetings, workshops, presentations, team days, retreats and company celebrations. The barn has boardroom and presentation layouts, with additional breakout space, while the marquee and countryside grounds provide room for larger gatherings and outdoor activities.

Seven self-catering cottages are situated on the estate, allowing organisers to combine their event with accommodation. Set within a private rural setting and accessible from the Leeds, York and Harrogate area, The Priory Barn & Cottages offers a venue where guests can gather, celebrate and stay in one place.
