The Manteo House

The Manteo House is a historic waterfront property in downtown Manteo, North Carolina, available for weddings, private celebrations and corporate gatherings. Set on an acre of landscaped grounds near the Shallowbag Bay waterfront, the house offers organisers a choice of characterful indoor spaces and garden areas for bringing guests together. Its heritage setting, original period details and distinctive timber finishes give events a sense of place, while the range of rooms allows gatherings to make use of different areas of the property.

The house and its detached apartment provide a mix of shared and private spaces, including a parlour, den, formal dining room, breakfast nook, upstairs lounge and covered porches. The grounds can be used for outdoor occasions, with the lawn offering room for a tented reception or garden gathering. The property’s kitchen is available for event use or when the whole house is rented, giving organisers options to discuss as they plan their arrangements.

The venue welcomes wedding enquiries as well as private events, corporate retreats and group occasions. Its accommodation includes seven bedrooms across the house and apartment, which can be useful for wedding parties or groups wishing to stay together at the property. Spaces may also suit smaller meetings, shared meals and informal conversations during a retreat. Organisers can contact the team to enquire about event arrangements, available spaces and packages. With its historic architecture, outdoor setting and overnight rooms, The Manteo House offers a distinctive base for celebrations and gatherings on the Outer Banks.
