The Lion Ballroom

The Lion Ballroom is a historic Georgian venue in the centre of Leominster, available to hire for celebrations, gatherings and organised events. Its grand ballroom combines period character with practical facilities, giving organisers a distinctive setting for weddings, civil ceremonies, receptions, birthday parties, family gatherings and wakes. The space is also suited to concerts, meetings, exhibitions, photo shoots and filming, making it useful for both private occasions and creative or community events.

Organisers can discuss the format that works best for their event, including venue-only hire or arrangements with catering. The ballroom has a catering kitchen, Wi-Fi and lift access, along with space for guests to gather, dine or enjoy a performance. Its ornate interior, high ceiling, chandeliers and original features provide a strong backdrop, so the room can be styled to suit the occasion without losing its historic character. The venue has also been used as a filming location.

For couples, the ballroom offers a setting for both wedding ceremonies and receptions. Private hosts can enquire about parties and family occasions, while businesses and community groups can explore options for meetings, concerts and other gatherings. The team can provide further details about availability, facilities and hire arrangements, helping organisers assess whether the space suits their plans. Located close to Leominster’s town centre, The Lion Ballroom brings together heritage architecture and contemporary conveniences in a flexible event setting.
