The Courtyard Venue

The Courtyard Venue is an exclusive-use wedding venue set within the historic grounds of Llwyn-y-Maen, near Oswestry on the Shropshire and Wales border. Its stone barns, courtyard gardens and old country-house setting give couples a characterful backdrop for a wedding celebration, with indoor and outdoor areas to shape the day around their plans.

The venue offers several spaces for different parts of a wedding. The ceremony room can seat up to 110 guests, while the Tithe Barn accommodates up to 120 for a wedding breakfast. For smaller gatherings, a more intimate barn can be used for both the ceremony and meal. Couples may also choose an outdoor ceremony beneath the rose arbour, weather permitting. The site’s maximum permitted attendance is 150 guests.

Hire is based on exclusive use over three days. Couples can access the venue the day before to decorate and prepare, enjoy their celebration on the main day, then return the following morning for the handover. Included facilities feature the barns, gardens, courtyard, a bar area, tables and chairs, outdoor seating and decorative lighting. The venue also has a restored gatehouse where the couple can stay on their wedding night.

Catering and bar services are arranged through suppliers, with recommended options available to help couples plan to their preferences and budget.
