Drumtochty Castle

Drumtochty Castle is an exclusive-use wedding venue set within a historic Scottish estate in Aberdeenshire. Couples can choose from several settings for their ceremony, including the castle’s Gold Room and Ballroom, the gardens or lakeside grounds, and nearby St Palladius Church. The church is a short walk from the castle and can seat up to 120 guests.

For receptions, the castle offers adjoining Gold and Blue rooms for drinks and socialising, followed by dinner in the grand Ballroom. The Ballroom can host wedding dining for up to 120 guests, while the dining room provides a more intimate alternative. The venue’s team supports couples through the planning process, and the castle has its own chefs and catering team. Food is prepared on site, with menus featuring seasonal Scottish produce, canapés and evening buffet options. Couples can also arrange a menu tasting with the chefs.

The estate offers accommodation for up to 110 guests across the castle, interconnected wings, stable apartments and lodges, making it possible for wedding parties to stay on site. A bridal suite provides space to prepare on the day. With its historic rooms, landscaped grounds and extensive guest lodging, Drumtochty Castle is suited to couples looking to bring their ceremony, reception and wedding stay together in one location. Organisers can arrange a private viewing and discuss venue details directly with the team.
