The Historic Dallas Jailhouse

The Historic Dallas Jailhouse is a wedding and event venue in Dallas, North Carolina, set inside a restored building dating back to 1848. Its distinctive former jail setting gives couples and hosts an alternative to a conventional hotel ballroom, with original brickwork, historic details, fireplaces and chandeliers creating a characterful backdrop for gatherings. The venue is near Charlotte and offers indoor spaces as well as an outdoor courtyard, giving organisers options for ceremonies, receptions and time together between the main parts of an event.

Weddings are at the heart of the venue’s offering. Couples can choose from packages with different levels of planning assistance, from venue access with tables, chairs, linens and day-of coordination to more supported arrangements that include help with trusted suppliers and event set-up. The team can also assist with the flow of a celebration, from ceremony and dinner through to dancing and a send-off. The building’s separate spaces allow events to use different areas for ceremonies and receptions, while its historic architecture provides a memorable setting for photographs.

The venue also welcomes rehearsal dinners, bridal and baby showers, reception celebrations and other intimate gatherings. Full-building rental options are available for some occasions, with tables, chairs and linens included for rehearsal dinners. A bridal suite package gives wedding parties a private place to prepare, and the site can also be booked for photography sessions, including engagement, bridal and maternity portraits. The venue team provides hands-on guidance to help organisers shape an occasion around their plans, guest group and preferred level of support.
