Metal + Match

Metal + Match is an Oakland-based event caterer serving organisers across the San Francisco Bay Area. Its food programme centres on seasonal cooking and ingredients sourced from local farms and producers, with menus shaped around the event, guest numbers and preferred style of service. Organisers can discuss a custom menu rather than relying on a single fixed format.

Service options cover a range of occasions, from informal receptions to formal dinners. Family-style meals bring shared dishes to the table, while buffet service offers a relaxed way to serve a larger group. For standing receptions and networking events, the team can provide stationary displays and passed appetisers. Food stations give guests a choice of chef-served or ready-to-enjoy dishes, and seated dinners can be arranged as a series of courses. Packages can include a reception spread, dessert, coffee and tea, depending on the format selected.

The catering is suitable for weddings, company functions, private celebrations and other gatherings. Menu planning can take account of event themes, seasonal availability and dietary requirements, with vegetarian and vegan choices among the possibilities. The team also provides catering staff and coordinates service around the event’s timing and venue. For organisers seeking a bar as well as food, the business refers enquiries to its related Bar Car programme.

Based in Oakland, Metal + Match serves the wider Bay Area and can consider events elsewhere in California. Organisers can contact the team to discuss the occasion, guest count, location and menu requirements, then choose a format that fits the event and the experience they want to create.
