Overlook Event Center at Edgewater Resort

Overlook Event Center at Edgewater Resort is a small, private venue for organisers planning intimate gatherings in Taylorsville, Kentucky. Set among wooded surroundings with views towards Taylorsville Lake, it offers an indoor event space for up to 60 people, as well as access to open grounds for guests to enjoy during their event.

The venue is suited to small wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsal dinners, luncheons, birthday celebrations, family reunions and business meetings. For corporate bookings, the room has internet access and a projector, with different table and chair layouts available to suit the occasion. A compact kitchenette and coffee maker are also provided. The surrounding grassland gives groups room to take a break outside or include informal activities as part of their gathering.

Organisers can enquire about hourly, daily and weekend hire. Weekend bookings offer time to prepare and decorate before the main event, with the option to return the following morning. Reduced rates may be available when guests also book one of the resort’s cottages for the same dates, making the venue useful for reunions and other gatherings where people want to stay together nearby.

The lakeside setting and modest capacity make this a practical choice for planners seeking a quieter venue rather than a large function hall. Meetings can be paired with a relaxed stay, while weddings and family occasions can make use of both the indoor room and outdoor surroundings. The venue is a short drive from Louisville and close to local golf, lake activities and the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
