Heywood Civic

Heywood Civic is a theatre and event venue in the centre of Heywood, available to organisers looking for a place to stage a live show, host a celebration or bring a community gathering together. Following a major refurbishment, the venue has a modernised auditorium, updated backstage facilities and a flexible performance space. Organisers can enquire about hiring the venue for occasions such as anniversary parties and business awards evenings, as well as their own live productions.

The venue’s programme includes theatre, music, dance, comedy and family shows, making it an established setting for both public performances and community activities. Its stage and backstage areas support performers and production teams, while the venue hire enquiry form gives organisers a route to discuss their event and requirements with the team. Detailed hire-space information is available on request.

A bar and kitchen are part of the refurbished building, providing an on-site option for refreshments. Accessibility improvements include a lift to the first floor, accessible toilets on both the ground and first floors, a Changing Places facility and a lift from ground level to the stage for performers. Heywood Civic is operated as part of Your Trust, and also supports local arts activity and artist development. For event organisers seeking a theatre setting with performance facilities and the option to host private or business events, it offers a distinctive venue in Greater Manchester.
