Showplace Event Center

The Showplace Event Center is a historic venue in Andover, Ohio, set in the former Gibbs Theater building on Public Square. It offers event organisers a distinctive setting for weddings and receptions, as well as birthday and anniversary celebrations, showers, graduation parties, memorial gatherings, fundraisers, meetings and other private or community events.

The venue combines an elegant main room with features that give guests space to gather, dine and celebrate. Its banquet area can accommodate up to 150 guests, while auditorium-style seating is available for presentations and gatherings of up to 200. A long stage with sound and lighting supports speeches, entertainment and live performances, and a dance floor provides room for evening celebrations. Upper-level balconies overlook the main space, while a grand staircase offers a memorable entrance and a setting for photographs.

For events involving food, organisers can work with their own caterer. The centre has a kitchen and food-preparation area, along with a serving counter designed to make service practical. Dressing chambers are also available, a useful feature for wedding parties and performers preparing on site.

The venue’s historic character and flexible layout suit both formal occasions and more relaxed celebrations. Organisers can discuss an arrangement tailored to the event, including its format, duration and guest numbers. Whether planning a wedding reception, a business meeting, a dinner fundraiser or a family party, the Showplace provides an indoor location with space for dining, presentations, entertainment and dancing.
