Camp Kearney

Camp Kearney is a city-run venue in Lexington, Kentucky, managed through Lexington Parks & Recreation. The City lists it among its indoor facilities available for rental, giving organisers a local option for bringing people together in the Jacobson Park area. The wider Parks & Recreation rental programme caters for occasions such as receptions, birthdays, family reunions, holiday parties, baby showers and meetings, so Camp Kearney may suit organisers looking for a municipal setting for a private or community gathering.

The venue is part of a portfolio of city facilities rather than a dedicated, full-service event company. Organisers can make enquiries and arrange rentals through the Parks & Recreation Rentals team, which handles reservations for the listed locations. The city asks that bookings be made at least 30 days before the rental date, so it is sensible to contact the department well ahead of a planned event to check availability, booking conditions and the arrangements specific to Camp Kearney.

For people organising a gathering in Lexington, this offers a straightforward route to explore a public venue without having to approach a private venue operator. The venue is also associated with the city’s Camp Kearney youth programme at Jacobson Park, but the rental listing is a separate option for organisers seeking space. Contact the rentals team to confirm which areas can be reserved, what is included, and whether the location suits the size and format of your event. This allows planners to establish the practical details before settling on a date or making arrangements with other suppliers.
