Avonturentocht
- Henry Torleylaan 100, 1654 Beersel, Belgium
Avonturentocht offers schools and other groups of children a guided day full of outdoor activities. The program is primarily aimed at pupils from the first to the sixth grade. Teachers choose a date and provide the number of pupils and the grade levels. Avonturentocht then takes care of the activities, equipment, and supervision. The outing takes place at Provincial Domain De Ster in Sint-Niklaas.
Part of the day consists of an adventure course in the forest. Students can tackle obstacles, move across rope bridges and climbing nets, and test their balance. Laser shooting, archery, and group assignments are also part of the program. The activities are adapted to the age of the participants and supervised by monitors. According to the practical information, a first aid-trained team is present and the equipment is checked.
The day is divided into two parts, with time for the obstacle course and for the other facilities in the domain, including the playground and the animal park. Schools can also book additional options such as the water park or the beach area. Students bring their own packed lunch, water bottle, sturdy shoes, and weatherproof clothing.
The formula is designed to keep organization simple for teachers and group leaders: they arrange transportation and gather practical details, while the activities are supervised on-site. In addition to primary schools, youth associations, playground programs, and other groups of children can also inquire about the possibilities. This provides organizers with a ready-made day program in which movement, collaboration, and being outdoors take center stage.
