Downtown Olly's

The Backyard is Downtown Olly’s covered outdoor patio and stage, available for private events in downtown Indianapolis. Its relaxed, open-air setting suits organisers looking for a distinctive place to bring guests together, with indoor space also available as part of the venue offering. The space can be booked for birthdays, wedding celebrations, showers, corporate mixers, fundraisers and other private gatherings.

Organisers can enquire about their preferred date and guest numbers, then discuss the arrangements for their event. Food and bar service are available, and entertainment options include drag performances, DJs and live music. The venue’s stage and performance programme make it a natural choice for parties where guests want more than a room to gather in, while the covered patio provides an outdoor atmosphere.

The Backyard also hosts public entertainment during the season, including live bands, drag and burlesque shows, and Pride events. For a private booking, the team invites organisers to share the occasion they have in mind so that food, drinks and entertainment can be considered together. This combination makes the venue suitable for social celebrations as well as informal business events and community fundraisers.

Located in the heart of Indianapolis, The Backyard is part of Downtown Olly’s, an LGBTQ+ bar and restaurant with a welcoming approach to guests. Event organisers can contact the venue to discuss availability, guest capacity, event format and the services that may be included. Whether planning a lively birthday gathering, a corporate get-together or a wedding celebration, organisers can use the patio and indoor space to shape an event around their group and plans.
