Community Courtyard

Community Courtyard is a historic event venue in downtown Plattsburg, Missouri, offering flexible space for weddings, receptions, family celebrations, school functions and business gatherings. Its characterful brick building includes an airy two-storey atrium, an expansive upper floor and separate meeting rooms, giving organisers a choice of settings for both intimate occasions and larger events.

The venue offers several rental arrangements, including use of the combined floors, the downstairs area alone or a meeting and conference room. Tables and chairs are included, with seating available for up to 400 guests. Two kitchens, one on each floor, provide practical preparation space and include refrigeration, cooking equipment and serving items. Organisers can also make use of the venue’s sound system, wireless microphones, speakers, Wi-Fi and pianos.

Couples can host their wedding celebrations at the Courtyard, with dedicated spaces for getting ready and facilities suited to receptions. The adaptable interior can accommodate a range of wedding styles, from formal dinners to more relaxed celebrations. Other suitable occasions include birthdays, anniversaries, showers, proms, dances, retirement parties, fundraisers, meetings, sales events and auctions.

As a non-profit community venue, Community Courtyard makes its facility available at below-market rates. Organisers can choose the layout and rental area that best fits their event, while the historic setting provides a distinctive backdrop for guests. Alcohol may be brought for events, although it cannot be sold at the venue.
