The University of Charleston makes several spaces in Riggleman Hall available for events, giving organisers a choice of settings for celebrations, meetings, receptions and performances. The Erma Byrd Gallery is a distinctive option for weddings, dinners and other gatherings. Its art-lined interior and large windows overlook the Kanawha River and the State Capitol, while built-in presentation equipment also makes it suitable for meetings and talks. Depending on the layout, the gallery can accommodate around 100 to 150 guests.

On the second floor, the Riggleman Rotunda offers an open, centrally located setting, with architectural details and an adjoining patio that can support an indoor and outdoor arrangement in suitable weather. Its capacity is approximately 150 to 200 people, depending on the event set-up. Geary Auditorium, also in Riggleman Hall, provides a more formal theatre-style environment, with a stage and seating for up to 962 guests. It is suited to concerts, presentations and larger public-speaking events.

The university’s catering and special events team handles room enquiries, availability and event arrangements. Organisers can discuss the space that best fits their guest numbers and programme, as well as catering and room set-up. The range within Riggleman Hall allows planners to consider an intimate gathering, a reception or a large audience event in one campus location. Wedding enquiries are particularly well suited to the Erma Byrd Gallery, while the auditorium and rotunda offer alternatives for occasions with different formats and capacity needs.
