Carriage House Theater

Set behind the Cayuga Museum of History and Art, the Carriage House Theater offers event organisers a distinctive Auburn venue with a story of its own. The building dates to the 1850s and has been adapted for modern events while retaining features such as its restored carriage doors, hardwood floors and traditional panelling. A renovation added contemporary facilities, bringing historic character together with practical event amenities.

The main floor includes a ballroom, stage and bar, making the space suitable for a range of occasions. The venue welcomes bridal parties and weddings, business meetings and live music, and can also be used as a black box theatre. Organisers can arrange the room with upholstered or wooden chairs, round and rectangular tables, and make use of LED stage lighting, a professional sound system and a projector with a large rear-projection screen. Heating and air-conditioning are available, along with an accessible restroom and wine and beer service.

Further facilities are located on the lower level, including two additional restrooms, two dressing rooms, a shower and a preparation kitchen for catering. These features can support events that need performer or wedding-party changing space, as well as gatherings that bring in their own food service. An adjacent car park provides parking for guests.

The theater is operated by the Cayuga Museum, which also uses the space for its own cultural programming.
