The Carriage Hall

The Carriage Hall is a distinctive event venue in Plumtree, near Nottingham, set within a beautifully restored Victorian railway goods shed. Its historic character, contemporary finish and secluded countryside setting create an adaptable backdrop for weddings, private celebrations and business events.

The venue is available for exclusive hire, giving organisers private use of the hall, grounds and event facilities. Its spaces can accommodate intimate gatherings as well as larger celebrations, with capacity for up to 100 ceremony guests, 120 seated dining guests and 250 guests including evening attendees. The layout includes the Main Hall, Mezzanine and Saunders Room, allowing the venue to be arranged for different event formats.

Wedding organisers can choose from a range of structured packages, including all-inclusive, twilight, evening, winter and bespoke options. The team supports couples with planning, menu development, food and wine tastings, supplier recommendations and arrangements for the ceremony, reception, dining and evening party. Food is prepared by the in-house culinary team, with menus designed around each occasion and locally sourced ingredients used where possible.

The Carriage Hall also welcomes private parties, anniversary celebrations, birthday events, christenings, charity dinners and memorial gatherings. For corporate organisers, the venue provides a stylish setting for conferences, board meetings, business meetings and other company events, with on-site parking and Wi-Fi available. Catering can be tailored to the requirements of each event.

Three handcrafted Shepherd Huts provide on-site accommodation, allowing guests to stay overnight and enjoy the peaceful rural surroundings. The venue is located around 15 minutes from Nottingham city centre, combining countryside appeal with convenient access for guests and organisers.
