The Amadeus

The Amadeus is a distinctive dry hire venue in Maida Vale, West London, offering flexible spaces for organisers planning weddings, private celebrations, corporate gatherings, rehearsals and creative events. Housed in a former Welsh Presbyterian chapel, the venue combines historic character with practical facilities, creating an adaptable setting that clients can shape around their own ideas and suppliers.

The venue has two separate halls that can be booked individually or together. The Upper Hall features stained-glass windows, high ceilings, a wood-panelled balcony, hardwood flooring and an original pipe organ, creating an impressive backdrop for wedding receptions, dinners, live music and evening parties. It can accommodate up to 160 seated guests and larger standing receptions. The Lower Hall offers a more intimate atmosphere, with a vaulted brick ceiling, columns and a polished floor. It works well for drinks receptions, workshops, rehearsals, smaller celebrations and additional event space.

As a dry hire location, The Amadeus gives organisers creative control over catering, styling, entertainment and production. The venue provides in-house lighting, PA systems, tables, chairs, cloakroom facilities, Wi-Fi and support from duty managers. Organisers can also access a network of recommended caterers and event suppliers, while external suppliers may be arranged subject to the venue’s conditions.

The spaces are also suitable for music rehearsals and recordings, with natural acoustics, pianos, music stands and seating available.
