Curate is a full-service event venue in Des Moines, Iowa, designed for organisers planning weddings, corporate functions, private celebrations, fundraisers, galas and conferences. Located in the city’s Historic East Village, the venue combines a convenient downtown setting with flexible spaces that can be shaped around different event formats and guest numbers.

The venue offers two distinctive rooms. The Gallery Room provides approximately 6,000 square feet for larger gatherings and includes a private wedding party suite. The Studio Room adds around 2,000 square feet and can be used for smaller events, preparation space or as an additional area alongside the main room. Outdoor areas and patios provide extra options for guest arrival, drinks receptions and fresh-air moments during an event.

Curate is suitable for events ranging from around 40 to 400 guests. Its clean, contemporary interior features white walls, polished concrete floors, arched ceilings and adaptable lighting, giving organisers a neutral backdrop for different themes and design concepts. Tables, chairs, linens, cocktail tables and selected decorative elements are available as part of the venue setup, with setup and teardown support included for venue-provided items.

Event organisers can also arrange built-in audio, wireless microphones, projectors, Wi-Fi and other technical requirements. Catering and bar service are delivered through the venue’s in-house kitchen and hospitality team, with menus tailored to the occasion, guest profile and budget. The bar service includes cocktails, wine and beer, with the venue managing the relevant arrangements.
