Firefly Venue

Firefly is a private hire venue in Oakengates, Telford, designed for celebrations, parties and business events. Set across two floors in the historic Old Oakengates Market Hall building, the venue combines the atmosphere of a high-end club with the flexibility of a privately booked event space.

With capacity for up to 200 guests, Firefly can accommodate birthday parties, wedding receptions, anniversaries, family celebrations, business gatherings and other special occasions. The venue features a balcony overlooking the dance floor and stage, giving organisers an additional area that can work well as a quieter lounge, VIP section or space for buffet service. The main room includes a stage suitable for DJs, live bands and other entertainment, supported by an in-house PA system and lighting installation.

Private hire packages include door staff, bar staff, use of the venue’s sound and lighting equipment, and tables with covers when food is being served. Organisers can bring in their own entertainment, decorations and catering arrangements, while Firefly can also assist with DJ hire, buffet options, drinks packages, prosecco receptions and illuminated numbers for milestone birthdays. Standard evening bookings run from 7.30pm until midnight, with the option to extend the party into the early hours.

The venue offers a useful choice for organisers who want a dedicated party setting with a staffed bar, guest entry management and built-in entertainment facilities. Firefly is located close to Oakengates railway station and nearby car parks. Event organisers should note that the venue is accessed by stairs and does not currently provide wheelchair access.
