The Fed

The Fed is a flexible event venue in Dunston, Gateshead, designed for organisers planning social, corporate and public occasions. Set within a distinctive former brewery building, the venue combines an industrial character with modern event facilities and adaptable spaces.

The main suite can accommodate large-scale gatherings of up to 1,000 guests, making it suitable for conferences, exhibitions, award ceremonies, concerts, festivals, presentations and entertainment-led events. The space includes a stage, mezzanine level, bar facilities and integrated audiovisual technology, including sound, lighting and large display screens. Smaller functions can be hosted in The Bunker, which provides an alternative setting for private parties, dinners, receptions and business occasions.

The Fed also has a dedicated wedding offering, including South Asian celebrations such as Mehndis, Nikahs, Shaadis, Walimas and large wedding receptions. The spacious banqueting area provides a flexible blank canvas for themed décor, wedding stages, Mandaps and customised layouts. Organisers can work with their own caterers and suppliers, while the venue can recommend trusted local partners when required.

Celebration packages are available for birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties and evening wedding receptions, with options such as private room hire, buffet catering, bar service and resident DJ entertainment. The venue also hosts sporting events, charity dinners, live music, comedy, tribute shows and specialist entertainment.
