Manor House at University Farm

Manor House at University Farm offers a distinctive setting for small meetings, academic functions, department retreats and selected special events in Hunting Valley, Ohio. Set within the extensive grounds of Case Western Reserve University’s University Farm, the venue combines the character of a historic country home with practical facilities for contemporary gatherings.

Built in 1930 as a private residence, the Manor House has an elegant architectural style inspired by the cottages of England’s Cotswold Hills. Its setting provides a quiet, countryside atmosphere around ten miles east of the university’s main campus, making it suitable for organisers looking for a calm venue away from the city centre. The house has also been used over the years for university and community occasions, giving it an established role as a location for small social and business gatherings.

The venue is intended for groups of fewer than 40 people and includes modern audio-visual equipment alongside its historic interiors. It can be reserved for academic events, department retreats and certain additional special events, with pricing determined according to the requirements of each booking. Reservations are currently available to Case Western Reserve University groups, as well as eligible members of the university community and not-for-profit organisations with an approved university sponsor.

Events take place from Monday to Saturday between 8am and 5pm, with no Sunday bookings. The University Farm team manages enquiries and reservations directly, helping organisers establish availability, suitability and pricing for their proposed gathering. With its heritage character, natural surroundings and intimate capacity, Manor House provides a refined venue for focused meetings, private university functions and small-scale professional events.
