Woolverstone Hall Weddings

Woolverstone Hall is an exclusive country house wedding venue set within 87 acres of Suffolk parkland beside the River Orwell, around five miles from Ipswich. The Grade I listed mansion offers a distinctive setting for couples seeking a historic and private location for their celebration.

The venue can be hired exclusively, giving couples and their guests the freedom to shape the day around their own plans. Inside the mansion, several elegant drawing rooms provide flexible spaces for ceremonies, drinks receptions, photographs, dining and relaxed gatherings. The Orangery is a particularly versatile setting, with plenty of natural light, garden views and capacity for wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations. It can accommodate seated receptions for up to 120 guests and larger evening parties.

Ceremonies can take place in licensed rooms such as the Leggett Room and Orangery, outdoors in the grounds, or at St Michael’s Church on the estate. The surrounding lawns, gardens and riverside views provide attractive options for photographs, outdoor drinks, lawn games and marquee receptions. The estate can also support larger ceremonies and receptions in the Sports Hall.

Woolverstone Hall works with a range of recommended caterers while allowing couples considerable freedom when choosing suppliers. The venue team provides planning guidance, coordination and a final planning meeting to help bring the event together. On selected dates, accommodation is available in the Dairy House and estate barns, with additional guest accommodation nearby. Private viewings and open days allow organisers to explore the mansion, grounds and reception spaces before booking.
