The Lauries

The Lauries is a flexible meeting and event venue in central Birkenhead, Wirral, offering practical spaces for business gatherings, private celebrations and community occasions. Its facilities are suitable for conferences, seminars, training sessions, workshops, board meetings and presentations, as well as weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, christenings, proms, charity events and wakes.

The main Exmouth Suite is a versatile ground-floor room measuring approximately 170 square metres. It can accommodate up to 200 people in theatre layout, with alternative arrangements including cabaret, U-shape and banquet seating. The suite is designed to adapt to different event formats and includes disabled access, Wi-Fi and audiovisual equipment hire. For smaller sessions, the Training Hub provides a more compact setting for training, meetings and workshops, with capacity for around 30 people in a U-shaped arrangement. A boardroom is also available for more focused discussions and smaller business meetings.

The venue offers a central location with convenient public transport connections, nearby rail and ferry services, motorway access and substantial parking options close to the building. This makes it suitable for organisers bringing together local attendees, delegates from across Merseyside or guests travelling from further afield.

For private functions, The Lauries provides the Exmouth Suite for groups of up to 150 guests. Organisers can arrange their own catering and entertainment, or request recommendations from the venue team. With flexible room layouts, accessible facilities and a broad range of possible uses, The Lauries can support both structured business events and relaxed social occasions.
