Camp Kinard

Camp Kinard is a spacious retreat and event venue in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, around 30 minutes from Columbia. Set across more than 300 acres, the site provides a flexible setting for church groups, charities, schools, companies, community organisations and other groups planning retreats, workshops, meetings or residential events.

The venue offers several accommodation options. Its lodge has 18 motel-style rooms for up to four guests, while six cottages provide bunk-bed accommodation for groups of up to 16 people per building. Groups can also choose from RV pitches with full utilities or primitive tent camping areas.

Camp Kinard has a range of meeting and gathering spaces, including the Caughman Center, dining halls, lounges, classrooms, a large pavilion and smaller covered pavilions. These spaces can support small workshops, group sessions, meals and larger gatherings, with WiFi available in the meeting facilities. Outdoor areas include two large fields, lakeside locations, walking trails, picnic areas and a bonfire space.

For groups looking to add activities, the site includes a seasonal accessible swimming pool, paddle boats, kayaks, basketball facilities, high and low ropes courses and outdoor recreation areas. Trained staff can assist with ropes course sessions and reservation planning.

Camp Kinard works with local caterers to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner for qualifying groups, while smaller kitchenettes are available for organisations that prefer to arrange their own meals. The venue accepts day bookings and overnight reservations, with staff available to help organisers plan the facilities, accommodation and activities required for a successful retreat or group event.
