My wife and I built SeatPlanning after struggling way too much with the seating chart for our own wedding. We decided to build a tool we wished we had back then.

Everything we tried was one of two things. Either a general diagram app, fine at drawing boxes, but it as no idea that a box is a table and a dot is your ant who cannot sit near your other aunt. Or an enterprise venue platform with 3D renders, a sales call and a 12-month contract, which is absurd for one wedding

So this is deliberately the boring middle:

• Drag tables onto a canvas then drag your people to tables. Custom fields for seats are available
• Import the guest list from Excel instead of retyping 130 names
• Manage RSVPs manually or collect them via custom link.
• Manage a private gala, corporate event or something that requires a ticket? Send the invites via custom branded emails, guests can claim their own seat and receive a QR into their inbox. At the gate, you check them in from the app.
• Export? A print-ready PDF for the day and Excel for the venue
