WORKSHOP KINTSUGI - the beauty of fractions

Kintsugi is a Japanese art form in which broken pottery, porcelain or ceramics

is repaired with gold. Instead of hiding cracks, they are made visible

and celebrated. What was once broken thus gains new life and unique beauty.

Get started. We break dishes and discover what can be broken. Then we restore an object with gold and experience how a new creation can emerge from something broken.

WORKSHOP KINTSUGI & SHINRIN-YOKU (forest bathing)

In this offering we combine Kintsugi with Shinrin-yoku, the Japanese practice of

mindful forest bathing. We start with a guided, slow forest walk in which sensory

observation, delay and presence are central.

From this encounter with nature we express our creativity together. We

work not only with ceramics, but also with natural materials such as wood,

stones, leaves or other elements that we find in and around the forest. Break,

Restoration and creation always take place in relation to the natural elements, whereby the forest

serves as a source of inspiration and bedding.

What you can expect

● No prior knowledge required – the technology is simple and accessible

● This workshop is ideal for those who are looking for depth, want to bring peace to teams and

creativity wants to connect with experiencing nature.

● Duration: 3 hours (also possible in a longer version)
