Just as successful as the Sportpaleis is the much younger Lotto Arena, which is just as impressive as its neighbor. The Lotto Arena opened its doors on March 10, 2007. This multifunctional and easily accessible event hall hosts top-level sporting events as well as concerts and shows. The Lotto Arena is the home ground of the Antwerp Giants basketball team. With a maximum capacity of 8,050 seats (including a standing central court), it is the only medium-sized venue in Belgium. It attracts more than 350,000 visitors annually to the events held there.
A small copy of the Sportpaleis
The Lotto Arena is a smaller version of the Sportpaleis. The building has two floors, offering excellent sightlines for the audience. The intimate nature of the venue puts the audience right in the thick of the action. Every seat in the Lotto Arena has a corresponding seat with the same details in the Sportpaleis itself. This allows organizers to easily switch venues if interest in the upcoming event exceeds all expectations.
