After the First World War, the name was changed to "Chambre Syndicale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles et de Cycles de Belgique". The "Federation of the Belgian Car and Bicycle Industry", FEBIAC, was founded as the association of the Belgian branches of foreign manufacturers in 1936. Both institutions merged in 1969. The "Trade Union Chamber" opened its first car and motorcycle industry on March 8, 1902. In 1899 werd de "Chambre Syndicale de l'Automobile et des Industries opgericht als de federatie van de Belgische constructeurs en hun toeleveranciers. Na de eerste wereldoorlog werd de benaming veranderd in "Chambre Syndicale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles et de Cycles de Belgique".
De "Federatie van de Belgische Auto- en Rijwielindustrie", FEBIAC, werd in 1936 opgericht als de vereniging van de Belgische vestigingen van buitenlandse constructeurs. Beide instellingen fuseerden in 1969.
De "Syndicale Kamer" opende op 8 maart 1902 haar eerste Auto- en Rijwielsalon. Voordien hadden, op initiatief van "l'Union et Véloce Club Bruxellois" (voorloper van de huidige K.B.W.B.) een aantal rijwieltentoonstellingen in Brussel plaatsgevonden Daar werden ook enkele auto's tentoongesteld.
In 1970 sloten FABRIMETAL (nu Agoria) en FEBIAC, die beiden de auto-assembleurs vertegenwoordigen, een protocol af met een verduidelijking van ieders opdrachten en taken. Dit protocol werd eind 1984 geactualiseerd.
In 1977 werd tussen FEBIAC en COMAUBEL een overeenkomst bereikt waarbij de invoerders van personenauto's nog alleen bij FEBIAC zouden aansluiten. In 1982 werd een soortgelijke overeenkomst bereikt voor de constructeurs en invoerders van bedrijfsvoertuigen en een jaar later voor de invoerders en constructeurs van motoren, bromfietsen en motorrijwielen. In 1983 sloten de leden van de "Patronale Kamer der Belgische Fabrikanten van toebehoren en onderdelen voor rijwielen" en de "Vereniging der invoerders en algemene vertegenwoordigers van het rijwiel" aan bij FEBIAC.
Vandaag is FEBIAC, in België, de woordvoerder van de constructeurs en invoerders van de vervoermiddelen op de weg en van hun industriële toeleveranciers, en is één van de oudste en belangrijkste beroepsfederaties van het land.
